Old Dominion’s Ralph Hamilton and Bill Nolan were recognized by our partners at Lytx for their contributions to highway safety with their annual safety awards. Hamilton, a safety drive camera coach for OD, was recognized as a coach of the year finalist coming in third place. Nolan, a linehaul driver from Boise, Idaho, finished second in the driver of the year award running.
The President’s Trophy is the top safety award given to one motor carrier by the American Trucking Associations. OD was ranked at the top for the “Over 100 Million Miles” category for its outstanding safety record. Carriers are selected for the President’s Trophy by submitting independently verified safety and compliance data. The ATA then evaluates the carrier’s overall safety record, programs and community outreach, and commercial vehicle enforcement personnel.
